Long ago - maybe 30 years ago - I bought a necklace in New Mexico made with Silver, Rose Quartz and Mother of Pearl. Native American made, it had a 13-piece fan as the centerpiece. It's one of the first designs I created when I started making jewelry a few years later.
I've always loved gemstones fans - the long and narrow spikes in graduated lengths that are the focal point in this necklace.
I strung Snowflake Obsidian rounds and flat ovals with copper flower beadcaps and Czech Firepolish rondelles in metallic rose. Very wearable with an antique copper lobster clasp that connects to copper jump rings and finishes with a crystal and gemstone dangle.
The length is 18 inches.
The bracelet features a coin shaped center bead with smaller faceted coins on each side separated by copper flower beadcaps, spacer beads and smoky quartz colored Czech Firepolish rondelles.
It also has an antique copper lobster claw closure, and two dangles at the clasp. Length is adjustable from about 6-3/4 to 7-1/2 inches in length.
The earrings are made with the same Snowflake Obsidian coins and gray brown colored Czech Firepolish with copper flower beadcaps and spacer beads. They are shown with rose gold plated steel ear wires and are about 1-3/4 inches long.
